Another Issue with Chase

I'm really REALLY sick of this company. I need to kick them to the curb. This time, though, I made the mistake of putting my card somewhere (possibly the overstuffed shred pile) before I moved. I THINK I know where it is, but it's going to take a bit of a search. Perhaps an excavation. *Sigh*

I went to the website to try to log in – like I have since I got the card. I wanted to check the balance (because they've snuck in service charges right after I paid the balance, and I wanted to check to see if the balance is FINALLY zero so I can close it). However, every time I try to log in, I get a 400 "Bad Request" error: "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."

WHAT?!

I tried to log in. Using your cute little log in window. I've tried many times in many different browsers. It won't even work in IE! Now THAT'S an error. What happened THIS time?!

Trying to look up my account is this long, convoluted process involving account numbers, social security numbers, access codes, etc. Unfortunately, techno savvy person that I am, I signed up for electronic bills a long time ago – which are saved, of course, in my online account. I don't really have any way of finding my account number (although I might have an old statement in my shred pile). And, since I can't find the credit card itself, I have a feeling they will never help me over the phone unless I at least pledge to them my firstborn – and since I can't even get them to fix their own mistakes without a Congressional seal of approval with two-thirds majority vote and a letter from my mother, I certainly can't trust them with Babysierra.

I hope it's just site maintenance, and not that my account has been changed somehow. I JUST WANT TO CANCEL THE STUPID CREDIT CARD IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK SERIOUSLY??!!

*breathe*

All right. Time to go on a treasure hunt archeological dig. I was late paying the card last month (because of that STUPID after-balance surcharge), so they charged me another $15, and I'm sure skyrocketed my APR to some unspeakable new levels of butt-reamage.

Chase. Sucks.

****

Now, so I can get back into a better humor, I offer you The Awesomeness that is Rachel Lucas.

She is my top favorite political commentary, period. Not because she's so into politics, but because she says everything I wish I could say, myself. She is the Queen of Hilarity.

I LOVE HER.

SO. You must read this post, and this post (don't skip the videos! HILARIOUS!), and check this out it's CREEPY AS ALL GET-OUT, and this one, and, finally, this one empowers my shotgun-happiness.

And, by the way, I also LOVE SARAH PALIN. My husband hit it squarely when he interpreted my thoughts for me: "So, you've gone from voting against Obama to voting for Sarah Palin?"

Yes. Yes and YES!

I want to see that woman in the White House! I want to see her as PRESIDENT some day! And this is the best way to do it! McCain might still have some policies I don't agree with (amnesty for illegal aliens being one of them), but I honestly have no doubt that the guy is genuine and really will be a great person to head this country in our current times.

Now, don't go thinking that the only reason I want Sarah Palin in the White House is because "I think it's high time we had a woman president" – that would put me in the boat with the Feminazis (who, by the way, are the SAME ONES who are ripping Sarah Palin and her family to shreds right now – how's THAT for feminist solidarity?). Unlike Hillary and Obama, Palin actually has sincerity, experience, values, backbone, and is all about getting the Federal government OUT of our wallets. She is the right woman, not just a woman.

To paraphrase Rush Limbaugh from the other day: She is TWICE the man Obama will EVER be! :D

*Sigh* That makes me feel better. :)

Now to go CRUSH CHASE!!! MWAHAHAHAHAA!!!

*ahem* After I unearth the card . . . that is . . .

I am a pagan, a liberal, something like half of my friends are of various flavors of alternate sexualities, have no military background (nor want to acquire one, thanks) and I am healthily dubious of the "less government" banner.

I am an American. Very much so, in fact.

What does the McCain camp offer me?

Fewer taxes, if nothing else. Oil (from our own country, ideally) to last us till we can find working alternatives. National security. Better foreign relations. No communism.

Those are just a few, without having to go into Obama's shady and downright ignominious background or his seriously flawed understanding of our country's economics.

Of course, we're probably going to have to agree to disagree, since we come from such vastly different backgrounds and apparently want different things from the government.

I'm not sure if "agree to disagree" works so well here.

There's not room for me in McCain's America. I'm not so sure he even wants to admit I and my friends exist. And, even if you believe his economic plan will yield more money for average citizens (I certainly don't - it hasn't for the last eight years), I'm not going to be paid to give up my rights. Nor are my friends.

I can't subscribe to a view of America that shuts me out.
